NCT6683D為美商 Intel® 及 AMD® 最新平臺的最佳解決方案。其支援了 PECI (Platform Environment Control Interface) 介面、SB-TSI 介面、SMBus master 介面、DSW (Deep Sleep Well) 邏輯、Power Supervisor電源管理、USB Host、Real Time Clock (RTC)、智慧型偵錯回報等功能。至於日趨熱門的節能減碳議題，NCT6683D 可將系統待機時的耗電量降至最低;傳統輸出輸入晶片 (I/O) 的應用方面，NCT6683D 也支持了 LPC、印表機埠、序列埠、鍵盤和滑鼠 PS/2等介面。
