WPG (TWSE:3702) Reports May 2020 Consolidated Sales of NT$46.71 Billion, YTD Consolidated Sales Reached NT$233.51 Billion, +17.2% YoY

The digital platform and smart warehouse solution implemented by WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, are gradually showing positive impacts. Benefited from accelerated digital transformation among industries due to Covid-19 pandemic, demand in cloud, laptop, PC and communication components, server and 5G components continues to arise. WPG announces its May 2020 consolidated sales of NT$46.71 billion, consistent with previous year’s NT$46.35 billion. YTD consolidated sales reached NT$233.51 billion, a 17.2% increase over previous year’s NT$199.23 billion.

Moving forward, reopening of mobile phone retail stores as lockdown situations ease, rising demand of hardware including laptop, PC and communication components, and servers due to continued investment and optimization of distance working/education environment from both corporates and users, and emerging business opportunities in IoT products due to construction of 5G infrastructure all benefit WPG to grow continuously.
