WPG Launches Smart Warehousing Equity Integration to Strengthen Semiconductor Supply Chain Service Capabilities
2025/10/28
In response to rapid changes in the global semiconductor supply chain—particularly the surging market demand driven by AI and high-performance computing applications—WPG Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as “WPG,” TWSE: 3702) has implemented a professional division of labor within the Group to enhance operational efficiency and market share of its LaaS (Logistics as a Service) business. At today’s board meeting, WPG approved adjustments to the equity structure of its subsidiaries. This initiative will further support the Group’s strategic development of the “WPG 2.0 Semiconductor Supply Chain Service Platform.”
To consolidate its smart warehousing contract service platform and actively meet the growing market demand for high-efficiency intelligent warehousing, WPG has decided to integrate warehouse operations previously managed by logistics units across Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong under LaaS Ltd.. Positioned as WPG’s flagship company for smart warehousing and supply chain services, LaaS Ltd. is expected to complete the equity restructuring in the first quarter of next year. The integration will significantly enhance the Group’s service value as a semiconductor component supply chain service provider and increase long-term competitiveness through expanded warehousing operations. The possibility of LaaS Ltd. pursuing an independent stock market listing in the future is not excluded.
According to the board resolution, WPG will carry out an asset spin-off through a share swap among its subsidiaries, transferring relevant logistics businesses to LaaS Ltd.. The provisional value of the spin-off is NT$1.033 billion, with the record date tentatively set for January 21, 2026. The related procedures will be handled in accordance with the Business Mergers and Acquisitions Act.
