WPG (TWSE:3702) names Mike Chang as its new CEO to lead the Company into its next chapter

The largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia Pacific, WPG Holdings Limited, announces today that the Board of Directors resolved to name Mike Chang as its new CEO starting January 1, 2021, to continue the Company’s global expansion and promote WPG’s services in the global semiconductor supply chain. Current CEO Frank Yeh will continue as Vice Chairman and focus on corporate strategic tasks such as LaaS to continue provide high value-added service for WPG’s customers. Current Vice Chairman KD Tseng will continue as Chief Sustainability Officer to assure WPG’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts and enhance the Company’s sustainable competitiveness. Tseng will facilitate WPG’s ESG sustainability practices across functions and continue promote corporate social responsibility duties.
New CEO Mike Chang has accumulated 40 years of profound and complete experience in the semiconductor components industry. Earlier in his career, Chang served at Texas Instruments and as General Manager of the Far-East District at Chips & Technologies. Chang joined WPI Group in 1993 and has served several senior roles including Vice President of Product Marketing, General Manager and CEO. Upon joining WPG Holdings Limited in 2005, WPI Group has been continuously growing. Chang has served as the Chairman and CEO of WPI Group since 2008 and has concurrently served as CEO of WPG Overseas Business Group since 2014.
