Impact Investment and Green Investment
In order to expand the reach of social impact, WPG Holdings has also developed partnerships through investment, hoping to create positive influence together with foundation companies and social innovation enterprises. In 2017 and 2020, WPG Holdings invested in B Current Fund II and B Current Fund III respectively. By the end of 2024, the B Current Impact Investment Fund team has raised five funds and invested in 31 social innovation companies, focusing on areas such as environmental technology, sustainable agriculture, healthy living, and inclusive economy. In addition to financial investment, B Current also provides support to investors in corporate governance, business development, and talent cultivation, working together to enhance the investment readiness, scalability, and social impact of social innovation companies, building a vibrant ecosystem of influence.
WPG Holdings is also actively promoting green investment, taking concrete actions to support the circular economy and sustainable energy transition. In 2025, we further participated in a cash capital increase for Yang Bao Enterprise Co., Ltd., investing an additional NT$14 million, bringing our cumulative total investment to NT$219 million. Yang Bao Enterprise focuses on implementing EU-certified Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) technology, converting combustible materials from industrial waste into high-efficiency fuel to promote waste reduction, energy regeneration, and low-carbon development. To realize this vision, Yang Bao Enterprise is advancing three major green infrastructure projects: two SRF processing plants with a total annual capacity of up to 400,000 tons, and one 20MW SRF-fired power plant. The entire project is scheduled to begin trial operations sequentially in 2025 and commence full commercial operation in 2026. Once operational, this "Waste-to-Energy" circular model is projected to generate up to 129.6 million kWh annually, which is sufficient to power approximately 36,000 households while displacing approximately 125,000 tons of coal usage, providing a critical boost to Taiwan's green energy transition.

Main Themes of Social Impact

Support for Domestic Cultural Development
- New York Metropolitan Museum of Art Masterpieces Exhibition Sponsorship
【Supporting World-Class Arts and Cultural Exhibitions】 In the spirit of co-sponsorship, the Company responded to a major cultural event—"From Impressionism to Modernism: Masterpieces from the Metropolitan Museum of Art." We assisted in bringing the precious collection donated by Robert Lehman to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York across the ocean for exhibition in Taiwan. This initiative brought top-tier international art assets into the view of our countrymen, providing an opportunity to experience world-class artworks up close.
【Connecting Charity Partners and Educational Resources】 To implement cultural equity and aesthetic education, the Company specially planned a "Charity Viewing Day." We combined forces with long-term partners of the WPG Education Foundation, including the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation, the Dream Home Community Development Association, and the Love Second Spring Cultural and Educational Foundation, to share art resources with social welfare partners.
【Beneficiaries and Impact】 The event invited a total of 150 underprivileged students cared for by the aforementioned institutions, along with 30 volunteers, including children of Group employees and parent volunteers, for free admission. Professional guided tours were arranged to bridge the urban-rural resource gap, ensuring that underprivileged students could also enjoy equal access to high-quality art education resources, demonstrating the Company's concrete contribution to social welfare.
【Resources Invested and Social Influence】 The exhibition attracted over 280,000 visitors, effectively enhancing national artistic literacy and international perspective. Upholding our original intention of giving back to society, the Company invested NT$2 million to narrow the cultural gap and cultivate artistic depth. We aim to inject warmth into disadvantaged groups through practical actions, create shared social value, and firmly practice our concrete commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and cultural ESG sustainability goals.
- OneSong Orchestra Sponsorship Project
【Cultivating Local Arts, Supporting Native Taiwan Music】 The Company has long been dedicated to cultivating outstanding domestic arts groups, supporting the "OneSong Orchestra"—which is dedicated to promoting Taiwanese musical culture—through concrete actions. This year's sponsorship funds were entirely used to inject resources into the orchestra's performance fees and professional venue rental costs. This ensured that local artists had a high-quality performance environment, assisting them in focusing on creating and interpreting the sounds of Taiwan, and implementing the corporate protection and inheritance of local cultural assets.
【Promoting Cultural Identity, Interpreting Taiwan Classics】 This special concert was themed "OneSong Jukebox II – All you can tiám," reinterpreting "Made in Taiwan" classic tracks through classical instruments. Through familiar melodies and professional arrangements, the audience deeply felt the unique charm and cultural energy of local music, thereby deepening the general public's sense of identity and pride in Taiwan's local culture and achieving the educational significance of cultural promotion.
【Connecting Supply Chain Partners, Expanding Social Inclusion】 To expand the social influence of arts activities, in addition to hosting Group employees, this concert actively invited long-term supplier partners to participate. The event design incorporated the spirit of the Company's mission: "Creating Partner Value, Achieving the Future," encouraging participants to share touching stories about "Family" and "Partners." Using arts activities as a soft bridge, we extended the Company's mission to external relationship chains, promoting emotional connection and mutual prosperity within the industry supply chain.
【Resources Invested and Concrete Results】 This project attracted over 353 internal and external stakeholders to support the event in person, with a total investment of NT$680,000 in software and hardware resources. By supporting domestic arts group performances, we successfully transformed corporate resources into a driving force for cultural development, concretely practicing our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and supporting domestic cultural development.
- Taipei Drama Awards Sponsorship Project
【Responding to Landmark Awards, Injecting Funds into Industry Development】 To promote the vigorous development of Taiwan's performing arts industry, Mr. Simon Huang, Chairman of the Company, actively responded to the "Taipei Drama Awards" organized by the Taipei Performing Arts Center. By donating to the "Lighting up the Theater Development Fund," we gathered the strength of private enterprises to provide stable resource support for Taiwan's theater community. This not only demonstrates the enterprise's emphasis on local culture but also helps build a complete arts creation environment through cooperation with landmark cultural institutions.
【Providing Substantial Rewards, Cultivating Excellent Theater Talent】 This project focuses on providing substantial rewards for Taiwan's contemporary outstanding dramatic works and exceptional talents. It aims to elevate potential playwrights and performers, retain talent for Taiwan's arts community, and cultivate cultural soft power. Furthermore, it injects vitality from the source of creation, driving a positive cycle for the entire industry.
【Resources Invested and Social Benefits】 Through corporate leadership and demonstration, this project successfully guided social resources and public focus toward the performing arts field, increasing social participation in theater culture. A total of NT$300,000 was invested in this project to support the production and distribution of Taiwan's cultural content with practical actions, demonstrating a long-term commitment to the mutual prosperity of the enterprise and the arts industry.
- Domestic Publication Sponsorship Projec
【Supporting Domestic Publishing, Promoting the Globalization of Taiwan's Industrial Narrative】 Coinciding with the milestone of WPG Holdings' 20th anniversary, and to foster a deeper global understanding of the resilience and value of Taiwan's semiconductor supply chain, the Company has invested resources to support the English translation and publication of The Chip Island, authored by senior industry journalist Lin Hung-wen. Through this publishing initiative that bridges language barriers, we assist high-quality domestic publications in reaching international markets, allowing the world to witness Taiwan's critical influence in the technology sector.
【Linking Core Competencies, Demonstrating Industry Co-prosperity Spirit】 This book provides an in-depth analysis of the Taiwan semiconductor industry ecosystem, where TSMC focuses on "making chips," while WPG is dedicated to "finding outlets for chips." Although the two belong to manufacturing and distribution respectively, they support each other in the supply chain and are indispensable. Through this book, the Company aims to convey the corporate mission of "Creating Partner Value, Achieving the Future" and emphasize the industrial spirit of upstream and downstream supply chain connection and mutual prosperity, embodying the Company's important role in the process of making "Chip Island" a global focus.
【Resources Invested and Social Benefits】 This project was led by the management team, with a total sponsorship investment of NT$1.87 million. By investing substantial resources, we successfully facilitated the English translation and release of this important domestic industrial work, making a concrete contribution to promoting Taiwan's industrial culture and fostering international exchange.
