WPG Holdings is the world’s first and Asia-Pacific’s’ largest distributor of semi-conductor components. Under the new manufacturing trend, we are committed to transforming into a Data-Driven enterprise. We take advantage of supply chain management strength and embrace technologies to digitalize the complicated business and build an online digital platform- WPG DADAWANT which provides individualized service experience based on various demands of customers. From the perspective of C2B (customer-oriented), we hope to change from “responding” to “creating” customer demands, so as to gradually improve the services on our digital platform. In the meantime, we are positioned as a LaaS (Logistics as a Service) provider to advocate smart logistics and assist our customers in facing the challenges of smart manufacturing.
WPG took the lead in launching the digital transformation plan as early as 2015. We expected to build trust with technologies and build a co-opetition eco-system together with the industry through “alliances”. WPGDADAWANT’s Brand Ambassador ”Iron DADA”
When Industry 4.0 focuses on full automation, WPG holds the spirit of human values and thinks about the iron man who represents Industry 3.5. The WPG mascot DADA puts on the iron amour, which indicates making good use of human wisdom. The iron amour is as a tool and a symbol of the WPG’s digital platform. Therefore, DADA with the iron amour symbolizes the collaboration between humans and WPG’s digital platform. It makes DADA empowered to become Iron DADA and maximize the working efficiency.
The fixed work is processed by the online digital platform to improve efficiency, while the flexible work is handled offline by human wisdom, so as to achieve the human-machine cooperation of online integration and offline manpower collaboration. This aims to achieve digital transformation supply chain service and create a competitive niche for WPG in the future Industry 4.0.
