品佳集團力推 NXP應用於太陽能電池、燃料電池的低功耗MPPT解決方案

恩智浦MPT612方案,是唯一針對太陽能(PV)電池或燃料電池應用提供最大功率點跟蹤(Maximum Power Point Tracking; MPPT) 的低功耗積體電路。MPT612 晶片採用專利申請中的MPPT演演算法,可廣泛用於如太陽能電池充電控制器、分散式MPPT和微型轉換器等應用中,達到98%的能量萃取(extraction)。

恩智浦的MPT612可相當容易配置於各種使用MPPT的太陽能直流充電控制器,例如可攜式設備和家庭應用的電池充電器;鐵路和交通號誌;街道、花園和車道燈。MPT612也相當適合使用於抽水幫浦和電扇等非儲存式電動馬達。

恩智浦具高度靈活性的MPT612解決方案採用低功耗、32位元ARM7TDMI-STM處理器,支援包括I2C、 UART、SPI和SSP在內的多個串列介面。MPT612具有太陽能應用中所需的硬體功能,包括電壓和電流測量、面板參數配置,並能發送輸出訊號來控制外部開關。為了進一步簡化開發和最佳化系統效率,MPT612隨目標檔(object files) 一起提供,包括恩智浦正在申請專利的MPPT演演算法、針對特定應用的軟體資料庫和易於使用的應用程式介面函數(API函數)。用於系統配置的API可設置降壓(buck)或降壓-升壓(buck-boost)的拓撲演演算法,甚至在熱帶地區當夏季太陽能的MPP電壓低於電池電壓時,也可啟動電池充電。MPT612提供應用軟體最大15KB的快閃記憶體空間,以及三層級的快閃記憶體代碼讀取保護(Code Read Protection; CRP) 來保證用戶所開發代碼的安全。
