富威集團推出AMD R-Series APU 整合式晶片組嵌入式高效能解決方案
 
富威集團代理產線AMD超微推出R-Series整合式晶片組,此晶片組搭載高效能的ATI繪圖晶片HD7000 series,其使用第二代推土機架構「Piledriver (堆高機)」,亦可在內部整合Radeon HD7000繪圖晶片以提昇整體顯示效能。本身具備四個顯示輸出,並具備優異的擴充能力,利用ATI E6700顯卡達到多螢幕顯示,最多可支援至10個螢幕輸出。採用嵌入式高效能的R系列“R-Series”,面向數位看板、x86機上盒、IP電視、資訊亭、POS中端、數位賭場應用等設備,甚至提款機等系統皆可因此獲得更高解析度顯示效果,另對3D圖像呈現亦有實質提昇效果。除整體顯示效果提升外,藉由AMD在Radeon HD7000繪圖晶片中所投入的軟體整合部份也可進一步提供影像編碼、解碼的效能,應用在醫療或監視系統皆相對可提昇實質應用成效。

富威集團推出IDT全系列伺服器解決方案
 
“Internet everywhere!”網路無所不在,使得雲端運用得以興盛,伺服器乃為雲端架構之基礎。因此穩定、快速、巨量存取為關鍵要件。
 
以下系統示意圖,IDT可提供多種元件如:Clock、Temp. Sensor、DDR Register、Memory Buffer、PMIC、PCIe Switch、SRIO Switch、Repeater/Retimer、OSC/Crystal、Power backup solution等。
 
 
• 巨量存取需要為數眾多的HDD或SSD,透過高速訊號連結,需要透過IDT Repeater/Retimer避免訊號衰減,目前已有多家雲端設計客戶採用,Intel新一代平台中也可見IDT PCIe Gen3 Retimer的參考設計。
• 雲端所需的超高速傳輸,可透過IDT PCIe Gen3 Switch(8G)或者是更高速的SRIO(Serial Rapid I/O) Switch (20G)來實現。
• 因為各種不同雲端平台(x86-Intel/AMD,ARM…)訊號傳輸所需不同頻率,則可透過IDT UFT(Universal Frequency Translator) clock來進行傳輸與轉換。
• 因應節能與低功率的要求,IDT同時也推出Low Power clock solution,可有效節省電能消耗。

SRIO Switch: 80HCPS1616 as example
80HCPS1616 - RapidIO Switch 
The IDT CPS-1616 provides a full, non-blocking bandwidth of 80 Gbps for up to 16 ports. The device uses a 5th generation switch fabric, building upon Gen1 CPS and Tsi switching architectures. This new switch uses patent pending features to minimize latency, ensure scheduling fairness, and provide superior multicast throughput. The CPS-1616's 6.25 Gbaud SerDes is ideal for doing both local interconnect with low power, while also driving backplane links.
This performance is realized over twice the transmission channel distance and three orders of magnitude improvement in bit error rate (BER) compared to the very capable Gen1 standard.
