ANPEC Introduce Dual Mobile-Friendly PWM Controller IC - APW7108


Announced by ANPEC, the APW7108 dual-channels PWM controller delivers high efficiency precision voltage regulation from two synchronous buck DC/DC converters. The output voltage range is 0.9V to 5.5V with 1% reference voltage accuracy. The APW7108 has wide input voltage range capability for voltage conversion directly from AC/DC adaptor or Li-Ion battery pack. The device is very suitable to provide power regulation for chipsets, graphics and other system electronics in Notebook PCs…etc.

The APW7108 integrates whole protections into a single package. The soft-start prevents the output voltage from overshoot as well as limiting the input inrush current. The output voltage will ramp down following the SOFT voltage when soft-stop is enable. The over current protection monitors the output current by using the voltage drop across the lower MOSFET’s RDS(ON) . Besides, it has under voltage and over voltage protections. Furthermore, APW7108 can select to operate in Forced PWM or automatic PFM/PWM mode. It provides application flexibility for customers.

It is available in SSOP-28 & 4x4QFN-24 packages and operates and operates over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
